Elinor Lupton Centre

Final Undergraduate Project
My design for an alteration to the Elinor Lupton Centre in Headingley, Leeds. The design is for a Design School for 16 to 18 year olds to meet the demand within the area. 4 key subjects are taught within the space, with each one housed in a 'pod', a creative teaching and learning space dedicated to each subject. The design is focused around the works and guidelines of Piet Mondrian - an artist whose work was prominent when the building was originally built. His designs are still easily recognised to this day; and the graphical style led me to create an abstract geometric design, respecting the Grade II listing of the original building.
