The Universe Letterbox, is a brand new newspaper designed during a final year BA (Hons) project in Lasalle College of the Arts, to cater to non-newspaper reading youths (age 15- 24 years old) to simplify complex news through the use of visual narratives. The newspaper aimed to encourage the said target audience to read up newspapers, due to the advanced technology of today, which has resulted in physical newspapers being neglected on most occasions.
The term, The Universe Letterbox, is a term to describe the meaning of news from around the world. The term, Letterbox, was used not only to be different from the usual usage of Daily, Times, etc but also from the concept of newspaper delivered in one's letterbox.
The newspaper consists of a total of 40 pages, making up of 5 sections. The type of fonts that were used in the newspaper were based on the target audience's preferred choices.
