Print Design - Weekly Markets of Wellington
My theme for my brochure was Weekly Markets of Wellington. The three markets I chose were each different in what they sell, the Harbourside Market sells produce, the Saturday Underground Market sells arts and crafts and the Cuba Night Market sell an authentic range of cultured cuisine. I wanted to convey the hustle and bustle, the business of each market, I did this by including a lot of busy illustrations and line work. I also wanted to convey the vibrancy of mood captured in each market and I did this by including many bright different colours. My text is in a square grid like structure, set up in a easy to read fashion in comparison to the business conveyed in the illustrations. In this assignment I learnt how to deal with creative blanks and learnt how to use photoshop and illustrator to manipulate images into illustrations. These are skills I will be able to use for future projects.
