For this project, I was asked to design logos for three different companies. The logos had to merge an object with a type of service. For example a frog and transportation services to create a company of Frog Transportation. The above images are the mock-ups of my final logos. I first came up with a long list of objects and another long list of services. I needed to make sure that the combined words didn't already exist as a real business. I had to get rid of most of my list but I finally came up with my three businesses. These businesses are Candle Auto Repair, Paper Landscaping and Cloud Chemical Clean-up. 

Starting my digital sketches was easier than hand drawing the sketches. My create in lines so I can see how the design parts will work together and so that I can make sure that the angles and arches are where I need them to be. So all of my work up until the very end is in black lines. Here are some of my first digital sketches.

The semi finals were far to complicated. I was getting all kinds of feedback that lead me to over complicate the designs. I knew I needed to simplify the logos for the final mock-ups. Here are my semi finals. 

The finals were still needing a lot of work in order to get the right message across so I reached out to professionals in the fields. With the feedback I got from them, I was able to continue modifying my designs until the message was received clearly. Then I just had to make the mock-ups. Here are the finals before the mock-ups.
