Reporters without Borders
I had recieved a project about "Reporters without Borders", meaning freedom of speech and freedom of information to the public and say it how it is. My main aim in this project was looking at journalist that are/have been affected by this concept, where they have been locked away from their freedom of speech and have been judged because they want to expose the truth.
In this case I have been looking into a journalist that had been transported from the USA to Iran to spy on the government and report back to USA on their movement in the government. In my poster I am trying to put this across by using images that have a strong and have a deep meaning through Shepard Fairey's iconic style (the style which he had conducted when making the Barack Obama 'HOPE' posters). I was highly inspired by with the tying up with the hands and a simple face expression. I wanted to keep the elements of the Muslim culture and "wanting to be free", the way I would do this is by making it a protest poster to help her get her out.
