Dígit festival Branding and Website

Dígit Festival is a brand new festival dedicated to alternative technologies, specially those aimed at music and Arduino. Its branding and Arduino was created by myself, María Marco, Diana García and Andrea Ayllón. I personally coded the website, using and editing open code from Google and creating my own code as well, which included HTML, CSS and Javascript.

As a new Valencian festival, our main priority was to make it stand out from the other multiple festivals that take place in that city. We first crafted our fictional persona to understand who is our main audience. That fictional persona would be used during the entire creative process, from the branding design to the website.

We then asked ourselves what could represent alternative technology? The answer was: a pixel. Because it was a tangible technology by the use of Arduino, we decided to make that square pixel move from a 2d screen to a 3d reality by transforming it into a cube. We used that cube breakdown to define the layout of every design element, creating that way the branding and identity of the festival.
