MISSING WANTED series of drawings deals with the problem of identity and character through the portrait motive. The author finds online images, or makes a photo reference of portraits of female friends and colleagues and while composing a drawing, she removes a part of their face which is most popular to be  “taken care of” via plastic surgery or other, less invasive, aesthetic intervention. In some cases, the visual character of portraits is gone missing this way. This series of portraits asks a question why do we find our character/ identity an obstacle or source of insecurity and not a superpower. Society obsessed with surface and visible must be superficial and material society.
