Mind your behaviour

Mind your behaviour is a product helping children understand and reduce energy consumption in the home. It takes the shape of a house, with a 8x8 matrix of color-changing leds, indicating energy use levels.
THE PROCESS
This project is the result of a codesign process with children between the ages of 4 and 15 years old. In this process, she explored children's representations of electricity and energy and their daily habits in terms of preferred activities and objects. From this material, she explored how colored light could convey energy (over)consumption and developed the final prototype illustrated above.
