Through e-mails, the Ignez Sofia Vargas 2019 Children's Literature Contest, held since 2011 by the Academy of Letters of Santa Maria, came to my knowledge (a list of books from previous editions of the contest can be accessed here). This was a dispute between texts and illustrations to compose a children's booklet, of which I won for the category of illustrations, made from the text of Denise Reis.
After knowing about the result, I started to sketch each character, as well as some ideas to better represent the text on each page.
Através de e-mails, veio ao meu conhecimento a realização do Concurso de Literatura Infantil Ignez Sofia Vargas 2019, realizado desde 2011 pela Academia Santa-Mariense de Letras (uma lista com os livros de edições anteriores do concurso pode ser acessada aqui), tratasse de um concurso de textos e ilustrações para compor um livreto infantil, da qual fui vencedor pela categoria de ilustrações, feitas a partir do texto de Denise Reis.
Após saber do resultado, comecei a esboçar alguns rascunhos tanto de cada personagem, quanto de algumas ideias para representar da melhor forma o texto contido em cada página.

RASCUNHOS E ESBOÇOS
After finishing the sketches, the best drawings were scanned, remade and reworked on the computer, to be treated, adding some gradient, light and shadow effects.
Depois de terminar os rascunhos, os melhores desenhos foram digitalizados, refeitos e retrabalhados no computador, para então serem tratados, adicionando-se alguns efeitos de degrade, luz e sombra.

FINAL ILLUSTRATIONS
After finishing all the illustrations, they were sent to print with the presentation of the booklet and the authors attached.
Depois de terminar todas as ilustrações, as mesmas foram mandadas para a impressão com a apresentação do livreto e dos autores em anexo.
After the production of the books, the launch took place during a Commemorative Dinner promoted by the Academy, where the prizes were received and the books were distributed to those present, along with an autograph session.
Após a produção dos livros, o lançamento ocorreu durante um Jantar Comemorativo promovido pela Academia Santa-Mariense de Letras, onde houve o recebimento dos prêmios e a distribuição dos livros para os presentes, junto com uma sessão de autógrafos.
O livro também será lançado na Feira do Livro na cidade de Santa Maria em Maio de 2020.
