Dutch Jargon Game for refugees

JargoNL
JargoNL is a fun, hands-on Dutch jargon game for single or multiplayer of all ages that can be played over and over again.
There are 4 levels of difficulties to it and you can track your learning progress. It is meant for status-holder refugees in the Netherlands who struggle with the repetitiveness of learning jargons when needing it to find a job.

The Context

Status holders in the Netherlands have difficulty with finding a job due to the language barrier and an educational gap. However, Dutch jargon is a crucial element for status holders in finding a matching job.

So we asked the question “What is the best way for status holders to learn Jargon?”.

Having spoke to many refugees at IamNL, the main insights that we gathered were that refugees preferred a non-digital prototype and they wanted a more interactive, playful and a low threshold method in learning jargon.
The concept is based upon a student project app called "ZakenPraat" as seen below. ZakenPraat is an app made for refugees at IamNL to learn jargons by themselves. We wanted to further improve this concept by improving the uptake, continuous engagement and deep learning of jargons that might possibly be done in a fun manner.
On top of the concept, we proposed a re-design of the app's UI
Concept
