Since 2006, there has been a 40% loss of honeybees in North America. Bees play a vital role in our ecosystem since they are pollinators and our food production depends on them. Blooms a Buzz is a collection that emphasizes their importance, beauty, and contribution to our world.
The bright and bold sunflowers, poppies, and snapdragons capture the environment’s beauty which exist because of bees. Each motif is hand-drawn with Derwent Inktense pencils, which enables bold, intensely pigmented color that gives the collection a naturalistic yet playful energy. The whimsical collection is designed for residential spaces and could be applied to a variety of textile fabrications including wallpaper.
