The exercise serves to challenge the perception and conception of the plan by creating a design in which the plan exists in its given form, bet ultimately is not sufficient in representing the overall design. The exercise requires invention or adoption of procedural and experimental methods to create a feedback loop/conversation between plan and space. In asking to interpret—in a sense, reverse-engineer—these drawings, we call attention to the always active role of interpretation and representation.
