Concept
Modern looking summer sneaker with innovative elements: the open upper with the narrow tongue enables breathability, and gives the person wearing the sneakers the possibility to show the socks that they are wearing, allowing personalization of fit. The lace holders are positioned to make sure that the laces do not overlap in the middle of the shoe, like most do, but instead intersect unevenly on the medial and lateral sides of the foot, adding to the unusual look of the sneaker.
The possible usage of a translucent upper allows for even more personalization of the fit.
The tooling on the sole follows the ideal pressure trajectory of a stride when walking.
Execution
The sneaker was designed mainly using Modo 3D, and Rhino, while the renderings were made with Modo 3D. The tooling on the bottom was created by drawing in Adobe Illustrator its flattened out black and white map, and applying it to the 3D model.
