The main overview is to create a portrait using Adjustment Layers, Blend(ing) Modes and other color editing techniques. I went a bit more make-believe than a cover redesign. The "character" is a subject from a picture I took for this project.

Today's challenge is to build a surreal cityscape by selecting, transforming and arranging architectural images. When I followed the lecture, I felt like mine looked too much like everyone else's.  What really inspired me was learning Photoshop can change the perspective of an image. The result was a composite of an original photograph, with and inside structure of a building from Digital Juice.  Then added an eye in the ceiling to go with the title.

Today's challenge is: replace the background and alter the mood of an image using Layer Masks. I took an original picture and expanded it into a sky with a moon created by the Radial Gradient Tool and some fun brushes.

Create a dream world by manipulating and combining imagery. As you work, try using Transform Tools and Adjustment Layers.

Here I took two more original photos and added them together with a "splash" of fun in the title.

Today's challenge was to make a brush and use them in our comps.

Today's challenge is: use Text Tools to design a stylized logo for your favorite book.

As usual, I used an original image and a fake book.

Add realistic texture to an image or design using Displacement Maps.

Chew on this! hahaha. A little spin on a classic horror story - now available for middle school summer reading... I do appreciate the push to learn about displacement maps in this challenge!

Today's challenge is: add motion to an image using Transform Tools and color adjustments.

Putting it all together. I created my own brush and used the smudge tool to emphasize the blood. First time using original pictures so I have to give credit to Pexels.com here.
