Cabins at Red Rock - Rebrand & Relaunch

Cabins at Red Rock B&B
Fredericksburg, TX

New owners took over a Texas Hill Country B&B and decided to rebrand and relaunch. I guided them through the relaunch process as creative director and marketing consultant. After multiple options for a new logo, we decided on the "barrel" design shown above, inspired by nearby wineries and distilleries, which are a big part of tourism in the area. The fence and barrel together evoke the local color—the spirit of sprawling ranch lands and rustic getaways paired with a font that has stepped into the comforts and clean design of the 21st century.
First draft concepts presented by the graphic designer. While the serif font survived the design process, these logotype concepts didn't quite make the mark for what was meant to be a symbol of a life-long endeavor, including letterhead, potential merchandising, roadside signage, and anything else they might ever put their business name on.
Announcement e-blast sent to patrons of the previous iteration of the B&B. Copy written by me and personalized by the owners. The idea was to introduce the new owners, show that they're honoring the history of their B&B, and let people know they're open for business in a whole new way.

We discussed many options for merchandise and started with an easy entry into their physical branding with the throwback speckled campfire mug, reminding us of cold mornings on family road trips, crawling out of tents into misty mornings, and sipping coffee and cocoa (sometimes both!) to get warm and start the day.

Cabins at Red Rock had a successful relaunch and is rated 5 stars on Yelp, Facebook, Google, AirBnB, and in addition to a 5-star rating, is also ranked #2 out of all Fredericksburg's Specialty Lodging on TripAdvisor.
