Magazine design
Värske Rõhk is an Estonian literary magazine that features stories, poems, interviews and literature reviews by young authors. It is issued quarterly and during 2011 they decided to employ different designers for each number. It was a unique opportunity to design everything in a magazine, from layout to photography.
I was inspired by the raw, sensitive and yet arrogant feeling of the writings, thus the use of rough hand painted lettering paired with the contrasting sharp typography of the body text.

The content pages are left intentionally very clean looking, without distractions for the reader.
