Bebe was one of the first dolls to be manufactured for the masses, and created a great fan base of young girls wanting to be perfect and beautiful as she was. She originated in Paris, France in the early 1840's. She is not the first doll ever created, but the first to have realistic features that mimic those of real people.
Bebe's Dollhouse, is a review of where we have come from with designing the doll, her accessories, home and the way all this is packaged and sold to the masses. Packaging design is almost always overlooked. In this book, the packaging is analyzed and broken down on what is wrong and what is right with the design.
