A new illustration for David Leonhardt’s column in today’s NY Times. (Check out the article here.) I was racing the clock with this one! I started noodling with the figures and when I looked up it was 15 minutes from send time. I was coloring with the adrenaline level of a 1000 mountain dews and ended up trying some new coloring strategies. Happily, I actually prefer the way it turned out to what I had originally had in my head.  Thanks to Aviva Michaelov for the assignment!
