I used Autodesk Mudbox to create the basic shape of a human. I moved the joints of the human to give it the illusion that it is falling. Then, I moved it to Autodesk Maya to separate and shape the trapezoid pieces. I also transformed the pieces to make them gradually get smaller as well as make them come apart above the body to give it more of an illusion of falling. Then I took the two screenshots with the blue background into Adobe Photoshop and added stamps into the background to give it the illusion of space. I also used Adobe Photoshop to change the color of the separated human.
