For Influx Collectiv, a poetry and literature group that would be running events, the brief was that they wanted a circular contained logo featuring the name + "a catchy qute 'n qweer branding image." The client had seen my figure drawings and wanted something in that vein.

I presented a set of drawings to show some directions the branding could go:

"The Explorer" drawn immediately after reading the brief, thinking only of the prompt for something "qute 'n qweer."

"The Flyer" was drawn after some further research into literary journals and designed to be more in line with the norm.  

"The Reader" was an iteration on the traditional literary journal logo, borrowing imagery from early feminist illustrations of women reading.

"The Seeker" was an attempt at consolidating the original prompt and more conservative literary imagery.

The client chose "The Reader" and I proceeded to vectorize the drawing and provide color options for the final logo.
