UI/UX & logo design for
Autism Society of Tallinn and Harju County

In 2019 we were approached by Catapult Labs and the Autism Society of Tallinn and Harju County to be the design partner in a pro bono project to create a new website for the society that would meet the norms of contemporary technology and be a better workhorse to distribute autism related information, know-how and main services in the northern Estonia region.

We created the design prototype for the website that would enhance the autism society’s reach and the students of the University of Tartu developed it into a website under the mentorship of the software developers of Catapult Labs.

Together with the new web we also created a new identity.
We aimed for a playful and vibrant feeling to lift the severity and weight from the subject and make way for a constructive and optimistic approach.

The new logo was guided by the idea of focusing on the overlaps of our unique identities and through noticing the likeness in each other raise a more empathetic and caring society.

The web had one main mission – to be the #1 directory for autism related information and services in northern Estonia.

This meant large volumes of text that needed to be catalogued in a logical way in submenus and displayed in a reader-friendly way on subpages.

Another major task was to create a very clear overview of upcoming events and autism society related news.

Our general approach was to keep it simple in structure and emotionally light.
