REINO PLANTAE
Reino Plantae project is part of the program of exhibitions of Mártires de la Conquista, Mexico City, where Apartment is inaugurated, a space that will function as a residence, laboratory and subsequent conditioning for exhibition setup.
Reino Plantae arises from the concern to show what is present in our daily actions but that we do not see, a way to become aware of the ecosystem that still resists in a mega city like Mexico City.
We propose an approach to this kingdom from the moss and the fern, being primitive life forms, existing millions of years ago, which represent the essentials of nature. Presenting Reino Plantae is understood as a way of showing a complex system of living organisms that inhabit the city and that despite being daily and with the naked eye, they act as invisible elements in our daily lives. To be able to approach from the construction of an immersive space that reveals his kingdom, and to create an awareness of the species with which we live and the incredible processes of propagation, light and sound that they generate being imperceptible to humans.

No se lo digan a nadie, pero hoy me desvelaron secretos de un silencioso cosmos en expansión, aquí mismo, al cruzar la calle.
Me contaron que antes de que pisáramos la tierra haciéndonos llamar humanos, antes de navegar los mares, construir imperios, de creernos eternos. Antes de tener la extraña ilusión de controlar y ser dueños de lo intangible, de inventar el tiempo, de amar en lengua, de soñar el futuro.
Antes y hasta hoy, existen ellos, los habitantes del Reino Plantae, capaces de percibir y reaccionar a lo que ocurre en su entorno, con extraña fuerza y sutil delicadeza.
Me contaron que resistieron a las innumerables etapas de la tierra, al frío, al calor, a la separación de continentes, al cambio de los océanos, incluso, a nosotros, locos humanos.
Me contaron que nunca hicieron una revolución ni tomaron las armas. No proclamaron su independencia, no inventaron guerras ni justificaron batallas.
Simplemente siguieron, en continuo movimiento, saliendo de los huecos que dejaban las aceras, sin hacer un solo ruido, invisibles a los ojos de la cotidianidad urbana, del ruido, del tráfico, otorgándonos de gratuita manera, y sin siquiera verlo, un tinte de verde en nuestro diario andar.
Me contaron, incluso, su intimidad.
Que cuando sale el sol se ponen a bailar con cada fibra de su cuerpo, inventando música que solo ellas pueden oír para no ser descubiertas, y que al caer la noche, coquetas, salen con su brillo, imperceptible para nuestros ojos, a iluminar su reino.
Y así continúan, regalando secreta belleza para quien quiera descubrir sus milenarios respiros.
