De Kuyper Jenever 1920
Jenever is the number one liqour among the dutch elderly. They really love to sip on their Jenever.
But I discovered there is also a growing problem with alcohol consumption among the elderly. This can have several causes, such as too much free time or money after retirement, medicine use and lower alcohol tolerance because of their age.
In the 1920's, Dutch Jenever brand De Kuyper introduced a non-alcoholic Jenever for export to the United states.
After the prohibition ended, so did this beverage.
With the growing popularity of non-alcoholic beverages, I re-introduced this non-alcoholic Jenever as an alternative for the elderly. So they can remain the social aspect of drinking, without the negative side effects.
The back of the label features a dazzling pattern, a visual way to mimick the buzz you get from drinking alcohol. This is printed on the back of the front label, so it's viewable when looking through the clear bottle to enhance this effect.
