Visual Stream Architecture Panorama

Visual Stream Architecture Panorama – Exhibition Design – The Visual Stream Architecture Panorama is an exhibition stand commissioned by Vitra for the "BAU" exhibition 2019 in Munich. In collaboration with ETH Zurich, which generated the content themes, the project was designed by Pauline Gebauer, Ina Germer, Cheongla Kim and Marina Jötten and implemented with a multi-member team of students and artistic collaborators at the University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf. The stand takes up themes on „architecture of the future" and addresses issues of sustainable and efficient building in the form of two clusters, called "Rebel" and "Leader." The goal of the Architecture Panorama lies in its ability to generate discussion on innovative architecture in the context of dynamic work routines.
Selected key themes that the booth addresses are: Ability to adapt, biophilic design, building culture, cluster economy, co-creation, eco-friendly architecture, machine minds, permanent beta, social inclusiveness, spatial experience.
In the implementation, the main components of the concept are information transfer, constant transparency, movement and a recurring break in typography and materials. Different stations run through the massive framework and promote an agile way of viewing the booth. With a buzzer, a constantly running clip can be interrupted and excerpts of interviews can be viewed. In a newspaper archive, visitors can find out about the "architecture of the future" and elsewhere, take away briefly summarized topics in a large card format. Every hour, in a workshop on site, fabric panels are printed with core statements, which are integrated into the exhibition stand, providing a dynamic spatial staging. A printed stream, which winds through the scaffolding, releases ever new core words to the cluster topics via movement. In general, the booth represents a continuous interaction between visitors and exhibitors who are encouraged to discover, communicate and participate. – 2019
