GOINGHOME.SG is a final year BA (Hons) project striving to strengthen and foster a solid Singaporean national identity within the nostalgic and iconic years of the nation. The flash-based project aims to bring out the best of Singaporean culture and tradition through the use of cultural semiotics. The website tells the story of a typical daily life in Singapore, set in these iconic government housing called "HDB".
Set in the 80’s and 90’s, rediscover the wonderful past through experiences and memories you may have forgotten, which are unique to Singapore. These years saw Singapore’s rapid development as a nation, and before the influence of globalization. During this point in time, the Singaporean identity was at its purest.
