The aim of this project was to create characters based upon the four seasons; Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. The main inspirations for these designs drew on is what people commonly associate with each season, rather than creating deity-esque representations.

Summer, especially for young people, is a time of relaxation and having fun, and her character is all about that. She wears festival wristbands on her to signify a this fun side of her, and keeps them on as a reminder of fond summer memories. She was conceived with a warm setting in mind, specifically British tourist destinations abroad. She is also slightly chubby due to all the summer barbeque food and late night takeaways she's so fond of.

As spring is generally associated with new life, she is the youngest of the season characters. She is a bouncy young girl who loves gardening and tending to animals. Spring weather can be rather temperamental and she can have difficulties dressing for the weather. She values hard work though a lot of the jobs she takes on are more like her hobbies, and she's able to go about them quite happily.

Though he was once a lot harsher towards people, Winter is now a gentle giant who mostly keeps his thoughts to himself. He is seemingly solitary, but likes to occasionally gather people together for heart-warming celebrations and knows how to cook up a feast.

A time of transition and hard work and is known as a time when the summer fun ends and school begins, and when animals begin preparing to rest for the winter. Autumn is constantly running around trying to manage everything, and tends to stress himself out to the point where he sleeps nearly all of winter.
