I included a video to show the interaction involved within this digital article. This is similar to how it is used on the iPad. The full screen viewing is fuzzy unless you watch it in HD using vimeo.
This screen shot displays the transition (possible effects of tanning beds) created when the viewer taps the image.
One of the things that I was not able to display in the video capture is the alternate layouts created with the aid of the digital publishing tools.
These alternate layouts are able to interact in the same way as the original ones.
One of my favorite parts about this article is in the timeline where the icons slowly radiate out into the page. Then each can be used as a button to gain more information about the timeline.
