The entire premise of this redesign of Gatorade's logo was to focus on what makes Gatorade's identity. The lightning bolt itself in my opinion has been neglected over time, as the specialized Gatorade G has become more of the forefront. Therefore recreating the bolt with a "Vital" or "Daily Vitamin" twist seemed to make the most sense, seeing that Gatorade has already focused on it's "G SERIES" which aids athletes before, during, and after performance.
