Novel - Cover design
The novel "By the hands of another" by Maria Papadimitriou is a story about embracing one’s darkest impulses. We see a silent, always estranged woman, become the offender and the victim of herself. The design of the cover is all about the contrast between the typographic forms. In this way, it depicts the violent dialogue of her conflicting mental states. So, it becomes a loud yet sensitive manifestation of her puzzling emotional world. The intense handwritten typeface acts upon the gentle traces of her childhood. Unfortunately, her homeland and her family are forever lost in the realm of memory.
