The fact he saw, loved and approved the image is an immense honor for me as I'm a big fan of Murakami storytelling since his first books.
My grandma used to say "hold on, none sees the fatigue and time we put in doing things but everyone will see the result" so I want to use this chance to show PROCESS VS PRODUCT:
The final piece is just the ending part of a longer process where I tested every interesting solution. The first attempts where confused and full of elements that I took out step after step: like in the Baroque music, the melody is created by the notes that have been taken out from the pentagram. The final product is a result of a rational choice of instruments able to play in harmony. The image is designed on the composition voids, the negative spaces on the ground design the shadows, the lights on the background design the small village and so on.
