Stories of Hampi House
is an anthology of stories and poems written as a part of a residency at Kaladham, Hampi by JSW group. The brief was to design a four page anthology with aiding illustrations and photographs which capture the essence of the project.
The overall visual language emerged from the tone of the stories, the landscape of Hampi and the earlier edition of the same project. Each story dictated the tone and visual language of the illustration accompanying it and playful elements like using spot illustrations as line breaks were used to break the monotony of an otherwise black and white newspaper. Colours played an important role and were chosen keeping in mind each story's mood and TAC considerations of newsprint.
