Over the shifting desert plains...
We found ourselves immersed in lunar landscapes.
There is something strangely captivating about the desert. The harshness, the heat, the arid nature burns at your skin until the essence of who you are seeps through your pores, returning to the atmosphere. You forget where the Earth ends and you begin. As your body struggles to adapt to the conditions, you find your mind slowly drifting away until your thoughts are focused entirely upon survival.
Water and shade... it's all that you long for and almost non-existent as the light batters you from above, stifling your breath as though you are roasting in an oven.
It's easy to find a way to stay warm when you are cold but cooling down when the temperatures soar is another story.
In a hundred years, will more of the world be like this?
