With the release of Melanie Martinez's new album K-12 I decided to create fan art to show my appreciation for the album.
A common theme in all of her music videos are her eyes changing from her natural color to black to indicate that her powers have been activated. I wanted to showcase this and I figured the best way to get this across was to animate her eyes shifting colors. It has been a while since I have animated and it was a fun challenge that I will definitely be repeating in more of my work.
