Diabetes management at first could be overwhelming given the amount of components on a starting kit. The main idea was to develop new structural packaging that can be use across different medical devices providing better organization to starting kits.
Phase 1 | Category audit and consumer insights – Deep dive into diabetes management category and search devices and electronic packaging as a source of benchmarking and inspiration.
Phase 2 | Design exploratory – Guide design team to develop structural packaging options that aligns with design objectives, manufacturing process and cost restrictions. Design objectives included: Product organization as the most essential aspect to deliver, to make information easier to process to the new consumer, simplify the first time interaction (15+ components in the kit) and to elevate the value perception of the brand.
