TAMBURINA CHAIR
Brief
The client has required ZAAFDesign to create a collection of four modern and inventive injection moulded chairs.
The chair supposed to be ergonomically correct and well balanced, with versatile possibilities of usage in domestic and public places.
Process of Design development
Concept and Engineering
For the DHF Tamburina chair process started from the market research and concept creation. ZAAFDesigners got the inspiration from ethnic musical instrument tambourine. The round shape of tambourine and its ancient history give the huge potential for experimenting with textures and materials. Further to structure layout design and engineering phase, and ended with the release of the final 3D CAD data for mould design.
Features
For Tamburina chair designers have chosen transparent plastic in order to give it the filling of lightness and particular final look. This chair is ergonomically correct and has a low weight and stackable.
Elegant and minimal design will pump up any interior with a trendy accent. Wide variety of Tamburina chair colours allows to experiment with interior design and bring it to the next level. Tamburina chair can be easily used in public spaces, such as restaurants, cafes, schools, and private spaces, like an apartment or garden.
Results
As a result, we have developed a unique chair with a wide range of colour variations and sophisticated design. Tamburina chair has particular features such like transparent material, lightweight and minimised storage space. This design is very recognisable because of the round lines and transparent material that had been used.
