DAEDALUS - Title Sequence

Narrative: Daedalus follows the story of devout men trapped in a maze of temptation, faith, death and greed.

I chose paper statues to be the centre point of the narrative because power is fragile and fleeting. The opening scene sees a statues head being unwound as if instruments of change were pulling strings to usurp. The following scene is as history has taught us about how mankind has gained power. An instrument in play, a prayer of justification, a life being taken and a desire fulfilled.

"Tell me, Lord, how can I gain such stature from one sin?" Temptation is now in situ and power is on the cusp of the next ungodly act. The following scenes are a repeat, worsening each time. An unstable instrument in play, a questionable faith, multiple murders with a significant increase in payment. The following scene depicts a broken instrument, burning of the faith, countlessly despicable killings with a significant increase in stature wealth and power. The end scene see new statues being placed and new men in power, but for how long?
