MALIKA FAVRE INSPIRATION

Malika Favre is a French artist that moves around the world, she used to be based in London, now she is in Barcelona already thinking to move again.

Her bold, minimal style, often described as Pop Art meets OpArt is a striking lesson in the use of positive/negative space and colour.
Her unmistakable style has established her as one of the most sought after graphic artists. Malika’s clients include The New Yorker, Vogue, BAFTA, Sephora and Penguin Books, amongst many others.

Artwork inspired by the original work of Malika Favre, names Park Avenue, a cover created fo the New York Times, the 16th May of 2015.
Poor Little Rich Women
Glam SAHMs, for glamorous stay-at-home-moms

"In a country where women now outpace men in college completion, continue to increase their participation in the labor force and make gains toward equal pay, it was a shock to discover that the most elite stratum of all is a glittering, moneyed backwater."
(Wednesday Martin, writer and social researcher, for the New York Times)

Their husbands make millions, they are privileged women, their kids go to prestigious schools, they ran their homes (plural) as C.E.O.s.
But they gave away they have advanced degrees from prestigious universities and business schools, but now they says "I used to work, I can, but I don’t need to.".
Rich, powerful men may speak the language of partnership in the absence of true economic parity in a marriage, and act like true partners, and many do. But under this arrangement women are still dependent on their men.

I found this image very interesting because of the shades and the necklace with the locker, that's why I wanted to re-create it. This image talk by itself. But, appart from the image, the article is also very interesting and true.

May the Dance Never End
Imagine your life as a dance, what kind of dance would it be ?

This artwork is a complete creation of mine, inspired by the work of Malika Favre.
I used the same color palette for each artwork and try to use the basic line curves to draw "The Dancers".

Simple Sensuality
Beauty at its simplest form

I loved the simple design of this artwork, it gives this woman all the attention she deserves thanks to a very sober and clean design with simple lines and few colors that also reflect all the sensuality that we can feel in this image.
