Hoof 'n' Horn, Duke University's oldest theater group, contracted me as the graphic designer for their fall main stage production of Cabaret. I worked closely with the show's director and producer over the course of the ideation process to flesh out a concept that embodied their vision for the material. Later stages of the process involved iteration on the typography and color choice before arriving on the core graphic shown below, which draws inspiration from German expressionism and art deco to convey a striking, mysterious mood. Multiple variations on the graphic were produced for digital and physical marketing purposes.
