yrspace has a progressive attitude towards office space design and management, and the app look and feel needed to reflect that.
Functionality was at the centre of the entire design process.
Animation was coupled with that to produce a user experience that was straightforward and natural.

To begin developing the site, we went through the full user experience process, starting with empathy workshops where we were able to uncover the attitudes, reservations and concerns of the yrspace core personas.

________________
From there, I developed a User Journey Map, in which specific needs of the personas were fleshed out. I worked up the six cases we aimed to cover. Together, this drove the app’s architecture, UX and UI.

________________
Based on the journey map, some deep information architecture was key to put the User Flow Map together. After a process of simplifying the navigation and detecting bottlenecks and redundancy, I was ready to jump on the interface design.

________________
On the pursuit of delivering an app with the focus on fluid navigation and simple structure, UI design played a big role. The experience wouldn’t be complete without an interface that translates the yrspace branding on every screen. I also created a new set of icons, visual keys and micro-interactions for a smoother journey.
