Background
The Sydney Theatre Company underwent radical rebranding with the introduction of Cate Blanchett and Andrew Upton as artistic directors in 2009. A new website was required to improve their current subscription process and ticketing interface.
 
Brief
Translate their existing website into a premier website that reflected their stature as the leaders of Australian theatre. Design and build a select-your-own-seat interface usable by all ages. Provide users with a creative way to explore the latest in Australian theatre.
Execution
After translating their print brand and establishing their digital brand, a full IA restructure and UX overhaul was required. Working closely with the technical team as the visual design and UX lead in the Agile process/methodology, the architecture, wireframes, user interactions and digital brand aesthetics for the website were built upon. With a full Tessitura, Ecommerce experience and CMS integration, the templates were successfully rolled out and user tested, receiving raving reviews from usability experts. Consequently, making this platform a successful product for Deepend Sydney to on sell to other performing arts entities.

This can be seen with the latest upgrade of the Sydney Symphony website.
