This project involves the design of a timeline in a way that is clear, formally pleasing, and reflective of the assigned designer's aesthetic. I chose to use color to create a system that indicates events of my designer's life and his historical or artistic influences. I chose to work with a complex triangle motif to reflect modernist design of the early to mid-nineteenth century that my designer and his significant influences flourished in. This also posed an interesting compositional exercise. While my timeline system is really nothing new, this motif makes it look interesting, fresh, and innovative.
