Which image of Malmsbury Botanic Gardens do you prefer, the original, the one with selective colouring or the black and white one? Malmsbury Botanic Gardens is one of Victoria’s earliest regional botanic gardens encompassing a wonderful collection of trees and shrubs. The central focal point of the gardens is the Ornamental Lake with the formed island at its centre. The fountain (not in the picture) was built in the 1930’s from bluestone salvaged from a nearby demolished mill. Both the fountain and the lake edges have been restored in recent years. Although not all the leaves had fallen off the trees, this photo was taken at the last month of autumn.
