"This production has brought another pleasant surprise for me. I met Rodolfo Villalobos
at his post grad theatre design exhibition at The Lir Academy. There was a lot of fantastic work which really impressed me [...] I asked him to develop some ideas I had for Beiv’s painting, a key prop in the show. He brilliantly ran with this and not only created the painting but also gave Jane (Brennan), the actress playing Beiv, some art classes [...].
The sketches around the set are products of this work".

World Premiere Programme
Jane Brennan in two scenes from Druid and the Gate Theatre co-production of The Beacon, a new play by Nancy Harris, directed by Garry Hynes. The Beacon had its world premiere at the Town Hall Theatre, Galway before transferring to the Gate Theatre, Dublin for a four week run as part of Dublin Theatre Festival 2019.
