The New Red Frogs Australia App

The New and Improved Red Frogs Australia App - There for You When You Need it Most
Group: Changing Majors - Matthew Sparks, Brandon Parker, Shoshana Huppert, Gage Legaspi and Evelyn Chan for the Red Frog Australia Design Intensive at The Queensland University of Technology.
The next 6 screens were what the rest of my group were responsible for. It shows the opening screen, live chat, contacts, event registration and reward program for the Red Frog game.
I was responsible for producing the live location interfaces for our app. Using Google Maps, I have integrated an updated direction and location pinpointing system to help schoolies and festival goers. Tapping on a black frog, representing your mates, will bring up their address and how to get to them. Tapping on a red frog, representing a Red Frog tent, will once again bring up the address and the directions to get there. I have made the most important features in red as this is the most recognisable for a disoriented and scared person. This directly responds to the Red Frogs mission to keep people safe when needed most and this will provide exactly that.
This is our Red Frog game built into our app. Much like pokemon go, the game that took on the world by storm, our game needs you to approach a Red Frogs tent at a festival or event. Once there the frog will appear on your phone screen. Aim to get the frog into the red cup. Achieving points will be determined how many times you can get the frog in the cup which results in rewards such as cheaper DiDi fares and vouchers as well as discounted festival and concert tickets (see rewards page above). Having a good ability to design this phone screen was highly beneficial to the success of targeting the funding section of the design brief.
This was the initial hand drawn design by Shoshana Huppert that allowed me to visualise the final product.
The whole Design Intensive from start to finish was a really enjoyable experience for my whole team and I. I learnt a lot and developed my group work - communicating and listening skills. Responding to Red Frogs Australia's Design Brief was both interesting and provided a great opportunity to develop real world industry insights.
