For Blend festival 2019, Bee Grandinetti from Panimation.tv curated 5 animators to create logo animations to be projected at the festival venue. I was lucky enough to be one of them, so I created a resin and lube stop motion animation.

Since this was a collaboration with Panimation, a community that embraces and encourages diversity and inclusivity in motion and animation industry, I wanted to represent the fluidity and versatility of our community. So I decided to animate water in its different forms.

After creating an animatic with After Effects and Photoshop, I started making shapes with Resin. But I soon found out that it was near impossible to control the shapes of resin without molds, so I decided to animate part of it in resin and part in lube.

After all animation was done in camera, I put them all together in After Effects and edited the colours, and made the sound effects.

At the festival the animated logos were projected on a big wooden logo. I was able to meet some of the animators who made the other logo animations. The festival was so nice and inspiring, and I had an incredible time.
