Problem:
The Vietnamese young community nowadays are losing their enthusiasm in studying history. The current curriculum appears tedious, monotonous and inconsistent while the emotional, radical and in-depth researches merely included in scholars’ academic documentations and uninterested by students. Hence we want to take the advantage of technology and render the more compelling, coherent and immersive experience for engaging our folk in the grand stories of the past again.
Solution & Art Direction:
The ultimate objective is to create the effortless yet unique experience that imbues audience in the Vietnamese valiant and courageous spirit. The main concept are based on Dong Son bronze drum - the original symbol of the Vietnamese earliest cultures. The circular timeline and geometric visual language are inspired by the pattern on the drum, the illustrations, grunge and golden dust are to evoke the mysterious, reminiscent sense of countless bravery and victorious past whose priceless relics were almost dissolved in time and war.
