Samsung Galaxy Ace (well, whats left of it). 3Ds Max

The completed exploded view - Created in Autodesk's 3D Studio Max 12, rendered with Mental Ray. The Debris was created with the now dated Particle Array, the dispersion was controlled with a cylindrical Particle Bomb. All post were completed in Photoshop Cs 3.
The grey model, untextured 3d Galaxy Ace. Note the buttons as well as the slider for the mini-USB. Creation method was Subdivision and I steered away from Booleans as far as possible.
The bare bones. Possibly a tad high on the poly count.
Progress to solid grey model
Progress to Textured model.
Adding the simple background. This concludes the 3D work. (apart from the debris particles not show here but visible in the final shot). Now, to Photoshop.
Vignetting and some layer blend effects in Photoshop.
The 3D work also showing the cut / crack created by animating a Boolean. All geometry was then rotated together but along individual, local coordinates creating the part mismatch / exploded look.
Showing some of the particle debris creation with P-Array and P-Bomb (now replaced by the superior Particle view in 3Ds Max).
