This quaint cottage located on beautiful Lake Sammamish had the perfect location but was in desperate need of an update. The homeowners casual lifestyle and a love for lake living required an updated kitchen and bath and a new color scheme all around.
We decided to use pale aqua and soft yellows to enhance the casual feel of the home. We also brought in textured materials such as the seagrass headboard to create layers and interest. The large picture windows and stunning view were the focal point so they were left unobstructed.
The kitchen and bath were updated with new cabinets and appliances and the existing white oak floors were re-finished in a beautiful warm stain to darken them and create a rich warm tone. The end result of the project was a cozy cottage that was built to embrace the kid's wet beach towels and become a cozy, warm haven for this lakeside family.
