The challenge
The Outward Bound Trust is a charity that has been providing adventurous learning experiences to underprivileged children for almost 70 years. They needed to create an engaging emarketing campaign to grab the attention of key decision makers in large corporations who are approached daily by charities asking for sponsorship.

The solution
Outward Bound courses aren't holidays. They are of course amazing fun, but they leave participants with real benefits such as self-confidence, self-belief, motivation and teamwork skills that last a lifetime. So how do you convey fun and gravitas at the same time? We created a tone of voice that uses humour underpinned with serious messages that suits the brand perfectly. The emails were sent out to 'warm up' prospective corporate sponsors to improve the chances of the fundraising team getting through with a follow-up call.

The results
This engaging campaign is creating quite a splash in the market, setting The Outward Bound Trust apart from other charities and receiving excellent response rates from prospective sponsors. The same concepts are also being used across direct mail and advertising to schools.
