'Would you share a moment of Lo-fi with me?'
A project to promote the online musical sub-culture.
"Lo-fi is a music or production quality in which elements usually regarded as imperfections of a recording or performance are audible, sometimes as a deliberate aesthetic choice."
-- 'Lo-fi music', Wikipedia.
Part I - Physical Souvenir
To promote the subculture, we intend to target people who don't spend a lot of time online, by giving out 'physical copies' of popular Lo-fi tracks. So, I made a wooden cassette tape with a switch that allows the user to play music from the box itself - a portable Lo-fi music box.
Disclaimer: I do not own the Lo-fi tracks featured in this project.
Part II - Incorporation of AR element into Music Box
Another easter egg we have incorporated into the souvenir, is an Augmented Reality (AR) code that - upon scanning - reveals a 3D-modelled environment that fits with the music the music box plays.
Thanks for looking at my work! :)
